I find these hooks to be very handy for light things. I use them to hang flashlights and thermometers from the tent ceiling, for example. They also work well with light elastic shock cord for keeping things like a flapping poncho in place. Their design makes it very easy to hook and unhook them from loops of cord or elastic.
