I'm totally in.
I can't imagine how much beer Adan will end up sherpa-ing in this time!
As the day gets closer, I'm totally up for carpooling with any other bay area folks.
I'll bring a bigger bottle of Jameson this year.

Aug 21, 2011 at 1:29 pm #1771655For those that DON'T know about this, for those on the fence and will be thinking about going, or those that went last year and would like to see photos from earlier this year….here ya go. Feb. comes pretty fast!
Aug 21, 2011 at 1:33 pm #1771657I'm definitely in! Thanks to Ken for pointing it out to me.
Cache Creek is dog friendly I believe… how do ya'll think a pup would do at an event like this? Is it appropriate do you think? Or is she better off staying home?
Thanks guys. Looking forward to this!
Aug 21, 2011 at 1:42 pm #1771659Jason, it is BLM land so no restrictions on dogs. Totally your call, though there is one river crossing and the deepness and length of the crossing varies from year to year.
Aug 21, 2011 at 2:21 pm #17716736 months from right now you could be having the time of your ultralight life.
Aug 21, 2011 at 2:24 pm #1771674SMF the closest airport to Cache?
*nevermind, ha, helps if I actually read through the first page of the thread.
Aug 21, 2011 at 2:27 pm #1771677SMF is the closest. If you could fly into Oakland cheaper I am sure someone would offer transport at the least.
You should come.
Aug 21, 2011 at 2:33 pm #1771678I'm already looking at what it will take to do so, looks like a blast, you left coast guys are the lively bunch of BPL, I want some of what you guys are smoking.
Aug 21, 2011 at 3:38 pm #1771702Eugene, we did have a few fly in last year. You would be more than welcome to join if you feel like it
Aug 21, 2011 at 4:26 pm #1771713I'm holding out for the BPL trip thru Napa Valley.
Aug 21, 2011 at 4:37 pm #1771716and I would be the first to sign up! Actually was there a few weeks ago. Big bold Cab tasting in Oakville and Rutherford…..not light on my wallet that is for sure
Aug 27, 2011 at 9:09 am #1773430Bump de bump bump bump
Aug 27, 2011 at 9:52 am #1773441I'm liking the location. Much easier for me to get to this time. I just gotta make sure no family comes during the same weekend!
Aug 27, 2011 at 3:25 pm #1773504Yes Eric, it is a fantastic spot that Ken T. thought of. It is BLM land so there are no fees, qoutas, etc. Heck we can even have a nice fire or two. We are expecting a crowd of up to or a little over a 100 this year. Of course weather could change that….like last year…(snow)

Aug 28, 2011 at 12:23 am #1773591I am really hoping that my plantar fasciitis is gone by then… :-(

Sep 18, 2011 at 4:45 pm #1780651you know I'm gonna be there! be nice to see those that I know, and meet many new faces, can't wait!
Sep 22, 2011 at 8:55 pm #1782373So this is a 4-day event this year instead of an overnight?
Sep 22, 2011 at 9:44 pm #1782389We usually have a hardcore group that hikes in the night before. Then everyone else shows up. Good times ensue. Pack up slow and go home. This time around we will have an extra full day at our disposal. So Fri night thru Mon, late morning/lunchtime departure on Sun.
Eugene, I for one sincerely hope you can make it. You have been a wonderful addition to the BPL family.
Sep 23, 2011 at 5:04 pm #1782795Bueno. I'm planning on being there, I'll be following the thread closely in Dec. and Jan. as you guys update info.
Sep 23, 2011 at 6:13 pm #1782835definately show Eugene…I know that you live in NM, but we have had others fly in for this. I am sure someone can pick you up at either SF, Oakland, or SJ airports too.
We will be putting you down as a maybe!
