I've been looking for something like this.

A ring that I could use on my ridge line for inserting a trekking pole. I've seen one premium tarp maker use a ring for this purpose…I'm surprised it's not more common.
There are also some clips that might be substituted for micro biners.
Aluminum might work better at at much lower price, but I haven't had much luck finding aluminum rings without a cut.
Jan 27, 2011 at 5:18 am #1688942I'd just use a loop of nylon cord or webbing sewn onto the tarp. There's very little abrasion on it and if it ever wears out you can sew on a replacement.
