Hi;
Does anyone know what is the most up-to-date topo map for this area on the Appalachian Trial? I'm overwhelmed by choices, but everything seems to have been printed prior to 2001.
Thanks,
Tim.
Jan 4, 2011 at 3:45 pm #1680505I'm still using my Shenandoah trail maps dated 1980 (purchased in 1984). They work pretty good though they are falling apart. For updates though I have the National Geographic trails illustrated map #228 (Shenandoah NP). It was shows that it was revised in 2007. This might be a source worth looking at.

Jan 4, 2011 at 6:09 pm #1680561I recommend the PATC maps…2 sections were updated in 2009 and the other in 2008. The PATC maintains the trails in the SNP and surrounding areas on a volunteer basis.
Have fun -
