Has anyone ever checked out this seemingly crazy fabric?
Their website lists the 10 denier version as 22g/m² which (if accurate) is 0.65 oz/yd². They also have a press release regarding a 5 denier version which is not listed on their website. I've emailed Everest for details and will update this thread with what I learn. Seems to me that this material could be lighter than M50 and perhaps significantly so. I've also emailed Paul about it to see if he has had a chance to evaluate the fabric.
Dec 23, 2010 at 11:06 am #1677080This was brought up on the forums a while back and I sent them an e-mail for more info but never heard back. I think Tim Marshall contacted them aswell requesting a sample, but I don't know if he had any luck. If you do get in contact, let us know. M50 seems to be plenty strong (more so than I had thought) so something lighter is definitely possible.
