Bear Canisters?

Well, no it doesn't.
It is a 2009 map.
On the Inyo National Forest site the Order for food protection can be found, and after a little hacking, it looks like this

It does not say "Canister", it says "Container", which MAY{?} include an Ursack.

Clarification is needed.

Edit: the Modified Language reference should read "Page 1 of 3, below the Order"

Greg, that forest service order was in effect only until October 31, 2010.

That is correct – the 2010 hiking season. Not 2009.

A new Order will be issued before May of 2011. I doubt if the language will revert.
