    I know about thru-hiker and MLD, but still wondering who actually manufactures this fabric.

    Locale: South Florida

    No idea who the manufacturer is but Outdoor Wilderness Fabrics (www.owfinc.com) sells it for around $10, depending on taffeta or ripstop. They simply call it 20 denier nylon, but it is exactly the same – I have both theirs and thru-hiker's and they are identical.

    It is made in Japan.
