Announcing two new MLD bivys.
7.8oz -SpeedBivy -$99-Epic top/Shield Silnylon bottom ( Limited Edition – When the EPIC fabric is all gone-no more…)
5.8oz SuperVent Bivy $165 All Momentum Body
For November- FREE UL GROUND CLOTH with each of these two new bivy purchased- MUST note the free request in comments field when checking out online.
Theses two new speciality bivy's help round out the MLD lightweight bivy line to 8 models- many with multiple sizes, bottoms, colors, zips sides and custom features possible. That's somewhere around 400 million permutations of bivys to fit your needs!
Thanks to you all for the input and design feedback to bring to market these bivy's.
Nov 5, 2010 at 1:54 pm #1661507Ron you're a design genius to keep making more kit. I will stick with the Superlight. Used lots now in the very damp UK and it is perfect. Keeps my down quilt and bags dry and me warm under my DuoMid in the worst condensation conditions. All I know is your bivys you have sold me are top notch in terms of performance in the hills. Slept out under the stars in -4 with the superlight as well and had ice on the top and been dry inside with a dry down bag. As good as it gets.
Nov 5, 2010 at 2:03 pm #1661510that epic bivy is actually the perfect alpine light and fast bivy
more waterproof than normal DWR once you seam seal
very light
cheaper than event … when you destroy it … lol
if i didnt already have an event bivy …. sigh …
Nov 5, 2010 at 2:33 pm #1661518Man, wish the speedbivy was available in a long version. Looks sweet for those fitting a regular though.
Nov 5, 2010 at 3:05 pm #1661529That 5.8 ounces is very light for a bivvy sack.
The best that I sewed was 8 ounces.
