Please let me know if you have any suggestions for my October 5-8 trip into the Aldo Leopold Wilderness. I’m planning on departing from McKnight’s Cabin, backpacking down Water Canyon, and camping along Las Animsas Creek. I’ve never been to Southwestern New Mexico, although I’ve read the Falcon guide book on the Aldo Leopold Wilderness, and have the USGS maps. Any advice will be deeply appreciated.
