I'm mostly making this thread because I'm excited about having a fully loaded weekend pack that weighs less than 25 pounds at the trailhead. I'll outline what's in it, but I can't post all the weights because I'm heading for the trail soon and because I don't have a scale.

Maps, water report, mechanical pencilI think that's it. I can add weights and see if I missed any items when I get back on Sunday. While it won't help on this trip, let me know if you spot anything that I can remove or swap for lighter gear.
I would probably be able to cut 2 pounds if I wasn't carry wet weather gear, but then again I'd usually carry more water.
Nov 25, 2010 at 5:18 pm #1667989You can do a couple things depending on weather with your shelter. You can leave the bivy and gg ground cloth since you have the Zpacks tub floor or switch the tub floor with the gg ground sheet or leave the Zpacks floor and take the bivy and gg ground sheet. A 10L dromedary bag is pretty extensive, a 2-3L collapsible nalgene would suffice. Instead of a potty trowel use a stick :)
