Okay so now that I know what to do about my groundsheet and pillow, i want to work on my sleeping pad. ive been using a ridge rest, which does not pad my shoulders and hips enough (i'm one of those pesky side sleepers). but it makes a great pack frame.
So my idea is to get a torsolite or something small like that for better padding. Then just use any thin foam on my legs. This would not provide a great pack frame, so i thought i could use some kind of rigid foam or maybe make my own by gluing some thin foam onto some plastic sign board material.
Is this a good idea? does anyone else use something like this? how does one make this combo attach to each other so they dont shift? how do i attach a montbell pillow to the torso lite deal? Is there a product out there that pretty much does this for a reasonable price?
