Anyone have experience with the old style SAS Commando sweaters? Looking at the specs it doesn’t look half bad for fall insulation you can sleep in and not worry about crushing. If the world’s elite military forces have given the thumbs up to this design there must be something to it.
Thoughts?
Aug 9, 2006 at 7:07 pm #1360808John, I have an old one, maybe 12 to 15 years old. Mine is black, heavy but nice. All wool if I remember correct. It is packed away and I don’t think I can find it easy.

Very heavy, but very nice. I dont know when mine was made, but I would guess that it is OLD. Like, it might have been issued to some SAS guy in WW2 for all I know.
Still going strong.
