Any thoughts on using geocaching to hone navigational skills with map and compass?
I'm looking for ways of testing my abilities to read coordinates, triangulate, take bearings from maps and landmarks, routefinding, etc.
I know I can just go into the woods, but to be quite honest, it's hard to find navigating opportunities when you know your local woods like the back of your hand already.
