I just returned from a backcountry trip (lead a group of Boy Scouts) in the San Juan Mountains. Ice off was wrapping up and the snow melted quicker this year due to dust/ash layering. Brian
Jul 2, 2010 at 10:03 am #1625722Your boys all look like they had an excellent time. The photographs were great. Finishing up a trip on the Silverton narrow gauge is one heck of a way to head out of the mountains!
