The Epic I just bought has a noticeable sticky coating on the back side.
The seller said it was made for Black Diamond tents. Do you know of any differences in
the Malibu fabric used by Black diamond and the Malibu fabric otherwise used, say by
Patagonia or by Oware. I would like to know if this is flawed or an improvement on the
fabric.Anyone out there have a Black Diamond tent
and could tell me if the inside is a bit “sticky”Thanks,
DaveJun 15, 2006 at 12:19 pm #1358053I have a BD Lighthouse(04) and a MLD Epic Bivy(05) that also uses “Malibu” Epic. Neither has a noticeable sticky side.
You could ask Ron Bell at MLD—I believe he has a new batch of this year’s Epic.
