I heard about the dangers of using galvanized metals around the stove — the heat makes them produce toxic fumes.
Does anyone know if Titanium stakes fall in to this category? I bought mine from backcountrygear.com.. no brand name or anything. Just plain titanium stakes.
Is it dangerous to use these as part of a windscreen (where it will get hot)?

If they are not painted, they are bare Ti.Cheers

Also, titanium is excellent when used as a lightweight windscreen or heat reflector, because it has tremendous tolerance for heat.
