I found a book that is so awesome it deserves its own thread.

Foot treatment, blister prevention and treatment, orthotics… all that stuff and a ton more come up often in the forums. This book addresses everything in AMAZING depth.

If you haven't read it, you probably should.

Check out "Fixing Your Feet" by John Vonhof. (No, I don't have any vague notion of affiliation with the author or publisher.)

I have a few blisters from a big mileage day I did a month ago. They're not painful anymore and aren't filled with any fluid, but they still "look" like blisters. It seems like callouses have just formed around them. Anyone else ever have something like that happen?

If you leave a blister intact after drainage and keep pounding away miles on top of it, it turns into the sweetest thick callus anyone could ask for.
