Got a question for yinz? Where is a good place for maps online? I am new to the lightweight world, not really new to backpacking though. I have never really purchased maps as most of my hiking in western pa is pretty well marked. Just curious where folks get their topos. Thanks in advance!

P.S. "Yinz"? Good Lord, you sound like my mother. Go Stillers! :o) Have you hiked the Laurel Highlands trail, or the big loop in Black Moshannon state park?

The Pennsylvania DCNR offices usually have nice paper maps that are free as well.

That way you can choose your own scales and put in your own notes before they are printed. I often print out a wider scale map and then several smaller ones with more detail.
And then the maps will match my GPSes with the same waypoints and etc. They are just easier to read than a small GPS screen.
