    Lacking blossoms for identification, my guidebook back home was no help at all.

    This was a lone plant with no others to be found anywhere on the walk. Living in a tiny microclimate, I suppose [are there giant microclimates?].

    Sunrise on Bald Rock Mt, overlooking Penobscot Bay

    I hike up here a few times a week before work to catch the sunrise, the trailhead is only a mile from our house.
