There are some good deals on a few Golite items:
Golite Virga jacket: M, L, XL for $56.00
Golite Reed pants: XL for $42.00
Golite SILK L/S Shirt: XL Black/Grease for $24.50 (these are listed at 2oz, probably closer to 3oz for the XL, but a great weight and price for these shirts)
Feb 10, 2010 at 5:03 pm #1572340Yeah this is a good sale. There seems to be some sought after stuff here like Reed pants and the silk DriMove tees.
Sizing is more limited that it initially appears but there is still some good stuff. Reed pants are XL only.
The bummer for me is GoLite still isn't shipping to Canada.
Feb 10, 2010 at 5:09 pm #1572347thanks for posting the deal.
Feb 10, 2010 at 5:09 pm #1572348I noticed the Reed pants, a few weeks ago. Who thinks I would be happier with them than my Dri-Ducks pants?
Feb 10, 2010 at 5:31 pm #1572360I have both the Reed and DriDuck pants. The DriDuck pants have very wide legs and a baggy cut, whereas the Reed pants fit more like normal rain pants which I like. The Reed pants also seem a bit more durable, they're the same weight and they look much nicer. The DriDucks are cheaper.
I don't think there's any doubt that the Reed's are the better rain pants. The DriDucks are the best choice for people who are looking for a lower cost option or they can't find the Reeds since they are now discontinued and hard to find. The older Reed (which I have) didn't have ankle zips so they are even lighter ^_^

Me. I shredded my Dri-Ducks pants no time but have used my Reeds for several years with no damage.

Feb 10, 2010 at 6:05 pm #1572374Just trying to talk myself into something new. :)
Feb 10, 2010 at 7:22 pm #1572407At that price, Tom, you can't afford to not buy it. And after all, you deserve it. ;-)
Feb 10, 2010 at 7:30 pm #1572416FWIW, here are my measured weights:
1) DriDuck pants: 115g (men's medium)
2) Old style (w/o ankle zip) GoLite Reed pants: 112g (women's large which fits like a men's medium).
3) Latest GoLite Reed pants: 156g (not measured, weight from GoLite).
