    as there are no news about the Laufbursche Shelter – what do you guys think about the GG Spinnshelter?
    I decided to go with a tarp now..

    Weight includes poles. You can use trekking poles.

    I've seen it before, but it looks not as flexible as the spinnshelter – apart from the higher weight

    It is definitely heavier. Of course you get a floor and bug protection.

    alright, so my new plan is the following:

    – ponchotarp for the hotter summer times (gatewood cape?)
    + lightweight bivy (or do you think a sleeping bag/quilt with some sort of shell is enough?
    – tarp like spinnshelter for colder, "rainier" times

    I'd like to hear your opinion on the suggested items, if this makes sense…
