This is a must have for your winter kit at this price… got one for Christmas and I have it on at least 3 days a week.

    Love it

How does this compare to the BPL Beartooth merino wool hoody (which is in the same realm, pricewise, and which I've always liked.) Thanks for any insights.

    Hey James

I own and love both of them. I tend to use the BPL hoodie as my base in the 30 to mid 60 degree range, the R1 I pull out when I'm playing in the teen's 20's and 30's. As a bonus they both look and fit great for evening trips into town. If you get the R! its really a bomber piece of clothing and should last you a long time.

    Hey Bill,

Thanks for the suggestion! I've ordered one, maybe the last medium they had.

    Here's a good review.

R1 Hoody +1. It is the most versatile piece of gear I own for use when the 3+ season use.

How does this compare to, say, the Ground Effect Robin Hood Hoody or a Melanzana hoody?
