Jan 26, 2010 at 1:55 pm #1566458Would a tarp tent hold up in that?
Feb 23, 2010 at 10:41 pm #1577857Maybe a tarp tent no, but a Tarptent yes.
Like real estate it's all about location, location, location.
This is Barrow Island. The wind came almost exactly the direction of the road heading towards the buildings.
In that situation I would have pitched my Contrail inside the second to last building, inside the basement of the two storey part, closest to the bottom of the picture.BTW, Australia also has the coldest recorded temperature, -128F at the Vostok Station (inside the Australian Territory) as well as 123f as our highest recorded temp too.
