I just finished my MYOG .6 cuben and momentum bivy! Yay :)
I was hoping it would weigh in at just under four ounces… but Piggy went and shed his dog hairs all over it… then again, maybe it was that full zipper ;)Jan 15, 2010 at 3:07 pm #1563177wow! it's beautiful. thanks for posting the photos.
Jan 15, 2010 at 3:12 pm #1563179Nice work, I really like the way you incorporated the momentum into the upper layer.
Jan 15, 2010 at 3:42 pm #1563190Looks great. Looking forward to a field report. Well done sir.
Jan 15, 2010 at 4:45 pm #1563211That's what I'm talkin' about! Very nice. Love that mesh window!
Jan 15, 2010 at 4:46 pm #1563212AnonymousInactiveWow! Thanks Gentleman! I love my new sewing machine! Really wish I could make a nice three-piece suit… but I fear that a backpack is next in the queue ;)
Jan 15, 2010 at 6:26 pm #1563232That is one nice looking bivy…the design is unique. I like the way the momentum lays. Any reason for the shape? trying to max the cuben usage…going for a cool affect?

Jan 15, 2010 at 6:59 pm #1563239AnonymousInactiveThanks Jamie! Was certainly trying to max cuben usage without sacrificing breathability… and trying to keep it at around 4 ounces with a zip ;)
Jan 16, 2010 at 12:07 am #1563304Wow! The bivy looks almost as good as Piggy. Bet you don't like him ( MR Piggy ) a bit right?
Love the style and the way the momentum is just where you need it for ventilation with the cuben wrapping up and partly over giving plenty of protection from spray and etc.
Fancy curves!
Jan 17, 2010 at 1:09 pm #1563688Curious where you picked up the cuben from?
Really nice setup. Very very well done! Love it!
Jan 18, 2010 at 1:14 pm #1563941AnonymousInactiveThank you Cola and Eric!
The cuben came from Joe at Zpacks.com.
Piggy is a handful, but he's a great pooch! I owe him a Dyneema dog pack… so he tells me ;) I can't argue with a face like his…
…though my dad still insists that he looks like a sack of potatoesJan 18, 2010 at 7:26 pm #1564042Piggy is pretty irresistable. Scoutdog sends her regards!
Aug 26, 2011 at 4:37 pm #1773247I'm looking to make something very similar, and field reports? hows the breathability?
I know this is a year old, but I'm hoping your still active!
