Just noticed that ID have updated their website. The Wedge looks interesting.
Oct 30, 2009 at 1:19 pm #1541262The Wedge – 1.68 kg with vestibule to keep the rain out.
Interesting, but NOT lightweight! And can you imagine it in a snow fall?Cheers
Oct 30, 2009 at 1:31 pm #1541265They also have an interesting shelter called the SilTunnel shelter maybe not an UL shelter but an interesting development. I see the wedge is a bivy, only 24" high, I think I will stick to my uni shelter
Oct 30, 2009 at 1:42 pm #1541268I wouldn't backpack with the Wedge, but i could see myself using it as an overnight summit shelter. It looks pretty bombproof in high winds.
Oct 30, 2009 at 1:42 pm #154126924 inches tall.
This can't be right as it would be 2" lower than the Unishelter. It doesn't look like it is. Might they mean 34?
It will also do exceptional in the snow……
Oct 30, 2009 at 3:13 pm #1541293The Wedge is 3.2 ounces heavier than the Scarp 1 without poles. The vestibule of the Wedge and the Scarp 1 crossing poles weigh the same weight.
They are different type shelters, but I thought I would do the math and put it here.
