I finally got them in and you can get one here: http://snowpeak600lid.webs.com/
I have another shipment coming in soon which will also include lids for the Trekk 700 and 900. If you're interested in one, let me know.
Sep 10, 2009 at 7:34 am #1526511Jason, I'm interested in a lid for the SP T900.
Thanks,
PhilSep 10, 2009 at 8:19 am #1526520I'm interested in a lid for the 900 as well.
Sep 10, 2009 at 8:22 am #1526521the 900 utilizes a "fry pan"- it's pretty heavy (considering I only use it as a lid)
very much interested if you could pull off a 900 lid
thanks
Mike
Sep 10, 2009 at 8:40 am #1526526Count me in for the 700!
Sep 10, 2009 at 9:08 am #1526533I will take a lid for both the 600 and 900.
Sep 10, 2009 at 9:11 am #1526534Hi Everyone,
Great, thanks for all the feedback. I'm glad there's interest in the 900 and 700 lids as well. I'll keep you updated.Sep 10, 2009 at 9:18 am #1526536Sep 10, 2009 at 9:27 am #1526538I would be interested in lids for the 700 and 900. Right now I use folded heavy duty aluminum foil.
Sep 10, 2009 at 10:15 am #1526555Jason, I noticed that the lid with 7 strainer holes is 0.1 ounces lighter. How many holes would you likely need to punch to bring the weight of the lid down to 0.0 ounces? I would be interested in custom ordering this product. Price is not object for the additional labor required.
Ok, sorry to clutter your thread with bad humor!
Sep 10, 2009 at 10:38 am #1526560Jason, I am interested in both the 600 and 900 lids (one of each). What do we do–wait till your web page allows us to order the 900 lids, then order both then? By the way, it's pretty cool that you are doing this for us.
Sep 10, 2009 at 10:51 am #1526565I too would like a lid for the SP 700 and 900.
Sep 10, 2009 at 11:03 am #1526567Here's to hoping you sell all of those before they sue you for using their name.
Sep 10, 2009 at 12:14 pm #1526589or simply change the name to "wetwhitestufftopofthemountain" 600 lid :)
looks like lots of folks would be interested in a 900 lid- the "fry pan" is not very handy (and heavy)- I asked SnowPeak about a substitute lid- that was a no go
I thought the 700 came w/ a light lid?
Sep 10, 2009 at 12:20 pm #1526596Actually, we already talked to Snow Peak and they're fine with it. So, sorry to disappoint bur I don't think we'll be getting sued. ;)
Sep 10, 2009 at 12:20 pm #1526597The 700 does come with a lid, however it's made from steel and is a bit heavy.
Here is a post that documents the weights of the 700. Weight is mentioned in the post:
OEM mug with handles and plate: 90.3 grams/3.19 ounces.
OEM lid: 33.5 grams.
Sep 10, 2009 at 12:57 pm #1526605Wow, that's 1.18 ounces. The ones I have are 0.5 – 0.6 oz. so people could shed a decent amount of weight by switching it out.
Sep 10, 2009 at 1:25 pm #1526615Would be interested in the 900 lid.
Sep 10, 2009 at 1:41 pm #1526623Count me in for a 900 lid when they arrive.
Sep 10, 2009 at 1:49 pm #1526626I am also interested in the SP 900 lid.
Sep 10, 2009 at 1:56 pm #1526629Jason, please put me in line for a SP 900 lid.
Thanks,
-SkipSep 10, 2009 at 3:06 pm #1526653I just put a short video on my blog where you can get a little closer look on the design. I'll let everyone know when the lids for the 900 and 700 are ready. http://www.geartalkwithjasonklass.com/2009/09/snow-peak-lids-are-here.html
Sep 10, 2009 at 8:54 pm #1526744How much are the Trek 700 lids going to sell for and what is the exact gram difference between the standard lid verus this new customizeable one?
Sep 11, 2009 at 6:29 am #1526827Hi Timothy,
The difference between the solid lid and the one with holes is about 2.83 grams on my scale.I think the 700 and 900 lids will be the same price as the 600 lids. Thanks for bringing that up.
Sep 11, 2009 at 10:44 pm #1527092+1 on the 900 lid
