Is there any kind of towel out there that absorbs more than a MSR PackTowl but yet is more durable than a LightLoad? Thanks.

Microfiber dusting towels sold at the store in packages of 3. super-absorbant, dry quick, cheap. thats what I use.

Are these the same towels that have that weird, prickly feeling? Do they end up smelling like a PackTowl after a few days use?

The ones you might get at an auto store will be rougher. The ones you buy for dusting (are much finer) will have a little bit of prickly to them, but I find that I don't mind much.
