Now that TarpTent is making double wall tents I really am looking closely at the Scarp 1 and Scarp 2 WITH CF crossing poles and the ripstop inner tent for winter use. Plus I like the Scarp 2's dual doors & vestibules.
I'll likely get the Scarp 2 so I can have room for one more person as, unlike summer, I think it's far safer in winter to have at least two people.
Any thoughts onm the suitability of the Scarp series for winter?
Would the vertical panels at each end present problems in heavy winds?Eric

Your question is far too vague to answer. I have seen photos of people sitting up at 10 pm in the snow in the conifer forests, around a dug-out dining table, eating and drinking. Not a breath of wind.
On the other hand, read When Things Go Wrong for a different perspective.Scarp 2 is not meant for extreme conditions!
Cheers
