Spring is a great time of year to hike the Goose Creek Loop. Here are a few photos from previous springs to inspire you to get out and do it.

    lc wildflowers
Wildflowers proliferate near the beginning of the loop at the edge of the Hayman Fire.

    d+boulder
The boulders in Lost Creek remind you of how small you really are.

    deneverwater
Denver Water tried to dam Lost Creek but nature won this round.

    greens
Shades of green abound this time of year.

    virga
Comfortable camp in the rocks high above the creek.

    stormclears
A storm clears and I'm treated to a light show before bed time.

    lcappears
Lost Creek appears and disappears many times among the boulders.

    faces
Is it just me or are there faces in the rocks?

    illuminatedrock
    Light plays on the rocks.

Thanks for sharing, Dondo. The Goose Creek Trail really is worth the time of a slower pace and some extended exploring. The wildflowers at the TH aren't out yet, but should be gorgeous in a few weeks!

Just an FYI for anyone in Colorado. I was in Lost Creek this weekend and the snow is mostly gone. We did a 31 mile loop from Ute Creek up past McCurdy Mountain and than up Goose Creek to Wigwam and back down through Lost Park. Very nice views and even above timberline there was very little snow. I did go in them but the Kenosha Mountains looked doable as well. I might post some pictures later but I hightly recommend McCurdy Mountain and McCurdy Park if you want a nice hike.
