Don’t know if this is old news or not, but SEKI, Yosemite, and many others have conditionally approved The Ursack Hybrid. The Hybrid for those that do not know is the Ursack 2.0 plus the aluminum liner. Weight is 20 oz. and has a capacity of 650 cubic inches.

Well kids my pack weight just got reduced 12 oz. by this decision.

Ken … what are you doing … using your kid as bait?

(I’m just kidding. Makes them grow up to be faster runners! :) )

They say that kids make the best bear bait!

I’m just sooo excited that I won’t have to carry my cannister in Yosemite and SEKI next year!

If anybody gets one of these, please let us know the thickness of the aluminum and the sheet dimensions. I have an Ursack that I’d like to upgrade. Thanks.

    thickness – 0.03 inches
    dimensions – 8″ x 12″

wondering if you could go thinner? seems pretty thick, than again we’re dealing with bears, so maybe the above thickness is best
