I'm sure this has been talked about before, but I can't find it.

Are there any threads on DIY Half Bags/Quilts? Seems like a pretty simple project, but I'd like to do my homework.

    Thanks!

Why not just take the plans for a full length quilt and downsize them to your needs. Couple basic conversions should work out fine. Other than that, I haven't seen any specific plans.

Look at the MLD website and the Climashield XP 2.5 ounce 2/3 quilts. Tim Marshall, who posts here from time to time made me a very nice 3 season ( Southeast USA) 3/4 quilt w/5 ounce XP that weighed 15.7 ounces. Dimensions are 62" long, 50" wide at top, 36" wide at foot, with snaps like the MLD quilts. At 6 tall, mine at top ends at n'pples! Will use w/synthetic insulation jacket, or vest depending on weather.
