Anyone use one of these? Looks a little too small for fishing.

Aug 27, 2008 at 10:12 am #1448782They also have poor flex, the joints tend to jam, and the reel in my opinion is junk.
If you don't think you are going to be fishing and want something to carry along just in case this is fine. But if fishing is definitely going to be part of the trip, there are many good spinning reels weighing in at 6 oz and the cabelas 6ft telescopic rod is 3 oz.
So for 2 oz more you can get a setup with decent casting length, and a rod and reel that aren't likely to fall apart.
