Most hiking in Europe is so civilized. Definitely not wilderness in most cases, but extremely pleasant in it's unique fashion.
Last year on the GR10 in the Pyrenees we enjoyed a shower and bed most nights, and wine, cheese, veggies and fruit almost every day from the little towns. That beats dehydrated food any day!
