Ursack has introduce a 14.2 oz. aluminum sleeve that fits inside an Ursack to protect the food from being crunched from bears. Has anyone used this piece in conjunction with their Ursack? If I understand correctly, The powers that be that test cannisters were concerned about food being crushed in there tests last year? If so would this piece of gear put them over the hump (Ursack)? Even with the 14oz added to the other 5-6 oz of an TKO would still be a great and lighter alternative to a hard sided cannisters. Any thoughts out there folks.

I would use the sleeve if only it caused Ursack to be approved in currently prohibited areas, and I would only use it in those areas. The sleeve counteracts the two things I like most about Ursack: it’s light, and it gets smaller as you eat the contents.

oh Alex agreed. I just wanted to let people know that this is available. Let’s hope that the powers that be ok this set up. It still would be a lot lighter than the traditional cannisters.
