I emailed the guys at nikwax, and they said that all there products are washed off my detergents and or dry cleaning, so……

11.45 or cheaper non breathable waterproofer. Put that on a wind shirt, and voila, the light VB you've been looking for, and still have your windshirt for the summer!
MASSIVE DISCLAIMER I have not yet done this on my gear, and may not for a while so if this doesn't work, I'm just the messenger, however if its a success, the email from Nikwax says there is a manufacturing problem and that you should send your mostly full bottle to me : ), but I'm gonna try it here when it gets cold enough on my awesome old MH wind shell
